What is Sambar and Why Use MTR Masala Sambar Powder?

Sambar is a traditional South Indian dish made by simmering lentils (usually toor dal) with tamarind broth and a mix of vegetables. The defining flavour comes from a special blend of roasted spices known as sambar powder. This blend typically includes coriander, red chillies, fenugreek, cumin, mustard seeds, and other aromatic spices.

MTR’s Masala Sambar Powder is prepared with carefully selected ingredients roasted to perfection, ensuring that every batch brings a balanced, rich, and authentic taste. Using this powder simplifies the cooking process while delivering consistent results every time.
