Abe’s The Sesame Bagels 4pk – Soft Artisan Bagels with Nutty Sesame Seed Crunch

Description – Abe’s The Sesame Bagels 4pk

Abe’s The Sesame Bagels 4pk are soft, artisan-style bakery bagels topped with toasted sesame seeds, delivering a rich, nutty flavour and satisfying chewy texture. Designed for versatility, these bagels are ideal for breakfast, lunch, or snack use and can be enjoyed toasted with a wide range of toppings, from savoury classics to fresh, modern combinations.

The base dough is made using enriched wheat flour, water, yeast, and salt, forming a traditional bagel structure that delivers a dense yet soft chew. Wheat gluten is included to strengthen elasticity and ensure each bagel maintains its shape while providing the signature texture associated with authentic bagels.

A key feature of this product is the sesame seed topping (4%), which adds a nutty flavour and subtle crunch to the crust. The sesame seeds are evenly distributed across the surface, creating a visually appealing and flavour-enhanced exterior that intensifies when toasted.

Cornmeal is used on the exterior of the bagels to add a light rustic texture and improve handling during baking and preparation. This contributes to the traditional bagel feel and enhances the overall eating experience.

The bagel blend, which includes wheat flour, barley flour, wheat gluten, and enzymes, supports dough consistency, structure, and fermentation control. This ensures a uniform crumb and reliable baking performance across all four bagels.

Vinegar and acidity regulators are used to refine flavour balance and assist dough conditioning. Dough conditioners and enzymes further improve softness, elasticity, and shelf stability, ensuring the bagels remain fresh and enjoyable over time.

The texture of Abe’s Sesame Bagels is dense and chewy with a firm crust. When toasted, the outer surface becomes lightly crisp while the interior remains soft and warm, enhancing both texture and flavour delivery.

The flavour profile is mildly savoury with a distinct nutty sesame character. This makes the bagels highly versatile, pairing well with toppings such as avocado, eggs, bacon, smoked salmon, cream cheese, or vegetable spreads.

The 4-pack format provides convenience and portion control, making them suitable for small households or weekly meal planning. Each bagel is uniform in size and quality, ensuring consistent performance across servings.

Abe’s Sesame Bagels are widely used in Australian households as a premium everyday bagel option due to their balance of flavour, texture, and versatility.
