		"product_content": "Bishop’s Cap cactus aka Astrophytum myriostigma is a flowering spineless cactus species belonging to the Cactaceae family and genus Astrophytum. It is interesting to note that the name – Astrophytum – originates from the Greek word ‘astron’ for star plant.  Bishop’s Cap is native to the highlands of northern and central Mexico, the plant grows in stony, calcareous soil. However, as the plant grows taller white hairy scales look more like a Bishop’s miter, which is the traditional headdress worn by bishops. Generally, adult Bishop’s Cap plants are star-shaped, with 5 protruding ribs having white dots or spots. However, keep in mind that the number of ribs can vary. The star plant may have only 3 ribs or, in more rare cases, as many as 10 ribs! Size guide:Mini - 6cm  Small - 8cm  Medium - 10cm Large - 13cm Extra Large - 15 cm ",

		"product_title": "Royal Agave succulent",
		"product_content": "Agave (Agave spp.) is a large genus of succulents with a great deal of variety. Some plants are quite small, only growing about a foot tall and wide. And others can tower at 10 feet high or more. Most species within the genus produce thick, pointed leaves often with spines along their edges, and they grow in rosette forms. The leaves are often a blue-green, green, or gray-green color, and some species have white or other colors of markings. Known as the royal Agave this desirable small Agave forms a dense rosette of hard triangular leaves with silvery-white markings and black needles. Slow growing. Fantastic container specimen. Keep dry in the winter. Sun. Evergreen. Protect from frost. Agave plants have a slow growth rate and are best planted in the spring or early fall, though houseplants typically can be started indoors year-round. If you're growing agave as a houseplant, be sure to select one of the smaller species unless you have the space for a very large plant. It can take several years or even decades for agave plants to mature, and they can live for many decades overall. For the most part, agave plants only flower at the end of their lifespan.",

		"product_content": "A funky take on [our classic lithops](https:\/\/www.thenode.co.nz\/product-page\/lithops-living-stones), we have been quietly collecting the weirdest and most unusual ones we come across. We're pleased to introduce mutant lithops. One of a kind, what you see is what you get! Normally mutant houseplants get chucked in the green bin at nurseries, but here at NODE, we love things that are unusual and weird, and we know that someone out there might love them too! Lithops is one of those plants you simply must see to believe. Nicknamed the \"Living Stone\" due to their uncanny resemblance to pebbles, these peculiar little succulents are native to southern Africa. These mimicry plants thrive in harsh, compacted soil and can take the full brunt of desert conditions, which means that as houseplants, they're great for small containers and require very little maintenance. As each plant is a little bit different, Lithops is must for your collection of arid oddballs. PLANT CARE• Light: Bright diffused to direct light; 4-5 hours of early sun is ideal• Water: Let soil completely dry between waterings• Considerations: Use a well-draining cactus\/succulent soil, and select a planter with drainage. This plant needs very little water, especially in winter WHAT TO EXPECTYou'll get a healthy Lithop that meets our rigorous quality standards in a 6cm nursery pot, other planters are sold separately. No two plants are alike, and yours will have its own unique shape, size, and personality; expect this natural variation from the photos.",

		"product_title": "Crested San Pedro Cactus (Trichocereus pachanoi)",
		"product_content": "The typical San Pedro cactus (Trichocereus pachanoi) is a multi-stemmed “organ-pipe cactus” with light green stems (slightly glaucous when young, dark green in age) that that forms a small tree 3 to 6 meters tall by 1.8 m spread, with several branches, usually extending from the base. The rare crested form can also get very big making a spectacular specimen.Cultivation: Trichocereus pachanoi is very easy to grow and cold hardy as low as -12°C (or less). It needs a fertile, well-drained soil mix. Water the plants well and allow them to dry before watering again. This species seems to do better with a little more water than most cacti. In fact, its cultivation requirements are really more like 'normal' plants than most other cacti. During the growing season fertilize them monthly with a balanced fertilizer Sun Exposure: Outside full sun, but during hot summers the cactus are subject to sun burning, so grow them in light shade. Inside they need bright light, and some direct sun. During winter months, put them in a cool luminous place and encourage them to enter winter dormancy by withholding water and fertiliser over the winter, as they will etiolate, or become thin, due to lower levels of light. They are susceptible to fungal diseases if over-watered, but are not nearly as sensitive as many other cacti, especially in warm weather. They tend characteristically towards black rotted spots unless watering is moderate and only in hot weather. If kept damp through cold periods, they will invariably suffer. T. pachanoi produces good amounts of growth each year if kept well fed and watered throughout the warmest months, particularly if it has been acclimatised to accept full sun. Comes in “Nursery pot” - All ceramic planters are purchased separately",

This exquisite cactus is native to the higher elevations of Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, and Bolivia, where it is used and cultivated as a living fence. This plant is fast-growing once established and requires minimal care. The Eve’s Needle needs full sun to light shade and well-draining soil. "product_title": "Peanut Cactus (Echinopsis chamaecereus)",
		"product_content": "The peanut cactus (Echinopsis chamaecereus) is a branched cactus with finger-like stems that has clustering and trailing growth habits. This growth habit makes it a great choice for hanging baskets and planters. Each ribbed stem can grow up to 15 centimeters long and is covered in small white bristles. While this cactus may look prickly, the bristles on the peanut cactus are actually relatively soft, although touching them still isn’t recommended as these fine bristles can still puncture the skin and cause discomfort. However, since the peanut cactus is soft it is easier to handle and grow than some of its spikier cacti relatives. The peanut cactus is a low-maintenance cactus that is easy to grow both indoors and outdoors. Native to Argentina, this mountain-dwelling cactus enjoys bright, sunny conditions and infrequent watering. While the peanut cactus cannot tolerate frost, it does require cooler winter temperatures in order to set buds for the following growing season. Healthy peanut cacti will display beautiful red flowers in the late spring to early summer.",

It has long, slender, grayish-green tubercles 6–12 cm long, with purplish-red blotches at their tips. "product_content": "African milk tree (Euphorbia trigona) is native to Central Africa. It is often grown as a hedge there, useful for its rapid and enthusiastic growth, though its roots are not invasive. Though it looks a lot like a cactus, it is actually a succulent plant. It has many folk names, including candelabra cactus, cathedral cactus, friendship cactus, good luck plant or good luck cactus (the good luck attribution is probably due to how quickly it grows, and how easily it propagates). It stays lush and green throughout its growing season, and new growth has a lighter green color than the base plant. The Rubra or Royal Red cultivar is very popular for its dramatic coloring: it takes on bright red accents later in the season. The African Milk Tree is long-lived and can grow very vigorously, up to two feet a year in height, to a total of eight feet tall. It is fairly easy to propagate also, similar to a cactus, where one simply breaks off one of the \"arms\" and roots in potting medium. Its dramatic size make it a sought after plant for plant enthusiasts. African milk tree is also very drought-tolerant and useful for xeriscaping. Because they grow so tall, but have a comparatively small root system, it's not unusual for them to become top heavy or to even topple over, so be sure to keep them pruned, and use staking where needed.",

This evergreen cascading succulent forms green and dandy branches about 1 inch wide and can grow meters long. The leaves are attached in an unusual way making links and joined at right angles. In nature, this Brazilian endemic plant is threatened by habitat loss. However, it is a popular and common plant among domestic growers and nurseries. Here’s how to keep your plants healthy and thriving:Lighting: Succulents prefer bright, indirect sunlight. Place your garden near a window where it can receive natural light, but avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. If you don't have access to natural light, succulents can also tolerate artificial light for a few hours each day.Watering: Succulents are drought-tolerant and do not need frequent watering. Water them only when the soil is completely dry. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so ensure the soil drains well. In general, water your succulents once every two weeks or when the top inch of soil feels dry.Soil: Use well-draining soil that allows excess water to escape. You can find special cactus or succulent mixes at most garden stores. If you’re creating your own soil mix, combine regular potting soil with sand or perlite for better drainage.Temperature: Succulents thrive in warm temperatures, typically between 60°F and 80°F (15°C to 27°C). Keep them away from cold drafts or extreme heat, as they can be sensitive to temperature fluctuations.Repotting: Succulents grow slowly, but they may eventually need repotting if they become too large for their containers. Repotting every 1-2 years or when the roots outgrow the pot is usually sufficient. Choose a pot that’s just slightly larger than the current one, and ensure it has drainage holes.Advantages of the Charming Succulent GardenEffortless Beauty: With their captivating appearance and minimal care requirements, succulents offer effortless beauty and style to your space.Great for Small Spaces: Ideal for apartments, offices, and homes with limited space, succulents provide a natural aesthetic without taking up too much room.Long-Lasting: Succulents are hardy plants that can live for years with the right care, providing lasting beauty for your home or office.Air Quality Enhancement: In addition to looking good, succulents improve indoor air quality, making them a healthy addition to any space.Giftable: A charming succulent garden makes an excellent gift for housewarmings, birthdays, holidays, or as a thoughtful gesture for friends, family, or coworkers.Why the Charming Succulent Garden is Perfect for the USA MarketIn the USA, where home décor trends lean towards low-maintenance and eco-friendly options, the Charming Succulent Garden fits perfectly into modern living spaces. Haworthia Cooperi: A Unique and Elegant Succulent for Your Home The Haworthia Cooperi, also known as the \"Glass Jewel\" or \"Cooper's Haworthia\", is a stunning succulent native to South Africa. This small, rosette-forming plant is highly admired for its unique, transparent leaves that resemble glass, making it a popular choice for plant enthusiasts and collectors alike. With its low-maintenance care and striking appearance, the Haworthia Cooperi is an excellent addition to any indoor garden or succulent collection. ### Key Features of the Haworthia Cooperi #### 1. Distinctive Transparent Leaves One of the most striking features of the Haworthia Cooperi is its transparent, jelly-like leaves, which give the plant a unique, ethereal look. The leaves are succulent, fleshy, and often have a translucent appearance, allowing light to pass through them. This characteristic gives the plant its \"glass\" or \"jewel\" nickname and adds an enchanting touch to any plant arrangement. #### 2. Compact Size The Haworthia Cooperi typically grows to a height of around 3-4 inches and spreads to about 6-8 inches in diameter. Its small size makes it perfect for desktop gardens, windowsills, and small plant pots. This compact plant is ideal for individuals with limited space or those looking for a charming addition to their indoor collection. #### 3. Low-Maintenance Care Like most succulents, the Haworthia Cooperi is easy to care for and requires minimal attention. It is a great choice for both beginner and experienced gardeners. The plant is well-suited for those who want a beautiful and low-maintenance plant that doesn’t demand frequent watering or constant care. #### 4. Rosette Growth Habit The Haworthia Cooperi forms a tight rosette of thick, fleshy leaves that resemble a small, miniature rosette. The leaves are arranged in a circular pattern, which gives the plant an elegant, geometric look. This growth habit makes the plant very appealing when viewed from above, as the leaves create a pleasing symmetry. #### 5. Coloration and Texture The leaves of the Haworthia Cooperi are typically a light green to yellowish-green, with some varieties exhibiting a slight reddish tint along the edges when exposed to bright light. The texture of the leaves is slightly rough, providing an interesting contrast to their transparent nature. This coloration and texture give the plant its unique, jewel-like appearance. #### 6. Tolerant of Low Light Unlike many other succulents, the Haworthia Cooperi can thrive in low light conditions, making it an ideal choice for indoor spaces with indirect sunlight. While it prefers bright, indirect light, it can also tolerate some shade, which makes it a perfect plant for areas like office spaces, bedrooms, or living rooms with limited natural light. ### Benefits of the Haworthia Cooperi #### 1. Air-Purifying Qualities Like many succulents, the Haworthia Cooperi contributes to improving indoor air quality. It helps remove toxins like formaldehyde and benzene from the air, making it a beneficial plant for any home or office. With its ability to purify the air, it can help create a cleaner and healthier environment. #### 2. Compact and Space-Saving Thanks to its small size, the Haworthia Cooperi is a perfect plant for those with limited space. It fits comfortably in small pots and can be placed on desks, shelves, or windowsills without taking up too much room. Its low-growing nature also makes it a great plant for arrangements or groupings with other succulents. #### 3. Easy to Propagate The Haworthia Cooperi is easy to propagate through pups (small offsets) that grow around the base of the plant. These pups can be separated and replanted to grow new plants, making it an excellent option for those looking to expand their succulent collection. Propagating this plant is a rewarding and simple process, and it provides an opportunity to share plants with friends and family. #### 4. Perfect for Beginners The Haworthia Cooperi is a great choice for beginner gardeners. It’s low-maintenance, requires minimal watering, and is relatively forgiving if neglected for a short period. For anyone new to growing succulents, this plant offers a great introduction to the world of indoor gardening. ### How to Care for the Haworthia Cooperi Light Requirements: The Haworthia Cooperi thrives in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some shade, but it should be kept out of direct sunlight, as this can scorch the leaves. Ideally, place the plant near a window that receives filtered light. Avoid areas with too much direct sun, as it can cause the plant to turn yellow or reddish.Watering: Like most succulents, the Haworthia Cooperi is drought-tolerant and requires very little water. Water the plant only when the soil is completely dry to the touch, typically once every 1-2 weeks. Overwatering is a common mistake, so be sure to allow the soil to dry out before watering again. During the winter months, reduce watering to avoid root rot.Soil: The Haworthia Cooperi prefers well-draining soil. A cactus or succulent mix is ideal, as it allows water to drain quickly and prevents water from accumulating around the roots. If planting in a pot, ensure that it has proper drainage holes to allow excess water to escape.Temperature: This plant thrives in temperatures between 60°F to 85°F (15°C to 29°C). Keep it away from drafts or sudden temperature fluctuations. It is not frost-tolerant, so it should be kept indoors in colder climates or moved inside before winter.Fertilizing: The Haworthia Cooperi doesn’t need frequent fertilizing. Feed it with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer about once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). Avoid fertilizing in the winter when the plant is dormant.Repotting: Haworthia Cooperi grows slowly, so it doesn’t need to be repotted frequently. Repot the plant every 1-2 years, or when it outgrows its current pot. Choose a pot that’s slightly larger than the current one and use a well-draining succulent mix.### Why Choose the Haworthia Cooperi? Low-maintenance and easy to care for, making it perfect for beginners. Beautiful translucent leaves create a stunning, jewel-like appearance. Compact size allows it to fit in small spaces, ideal for homes and offices. Tolerates low light, making it suitable for indoor spaces with minimal sunlight. "product_content": "The Hatiora salicornioides is a unique, decorative houseplant native to South America in Brazil. It's also known as the Dancing Bones Cactus, Drunkard’s Dream, Spice Cactus, Bottle Cactus. Resembling coral, it’s an epiphytic cactus-like Rhipsalis, which means it can grow on other plants. It is a rainforest species that grows on trees as an epiphyte (or occasionally on rocks as a lithophytic). In other words, these are cacti that grow in trees! They grow their roots into the bark of their host tree. Their only access to moisture and nutrients is from rain and droppings that fall from above. They also always grow under a canopy of trees and are never exposed to the full sun of the desert. PLANT CARE• Light: Thrives best in bright, indirect light with morning and evening sun• Water: Allow soil to dry out between waterings• Considerations: Blooms in winter and spring with white and yellow flowers WHAT TO EXPECTYou'll get a healthy Hatiora that meets our rigorous quality standards in a 15cm nursery pot, other planters are sold separately. No two plants are alike, and yours will have its own unique shape, size, and personality; expect this natural variation from the photos.",

PLANT CARE• Light: Bright direct light• Water: Water when completely dry• Considerations: Blooms in early spring WHAT TO EXPECTYou'll get a healthy Brain Cactus that meets our rigorous quality standards in a 10cm nursery pot, other planters are sold separately.
